Sencha (煎茶) is the most consumed tea in Japan and even has its style of tea ceremony. Join our upcoming Japanese Green Teas workshop to take a closer look at the history and culture of Japan's most popular loose-leaf tea.

You will get to taste several different types of Japanese green teas to explore their nuances and learn the history of Sencha and its rise to popularity. This workshop is great for those wanting an introduction to Japanese teas through a fun and immersive experience. This 60-minute workshop covers:

  • A brief history of loose leaf teas in Japan
  • How Japanese green tea differs from other teas
  • Get to know the tea-drinking culture in Japan
  • Sip & explore four Japanese loose-leaf green teas

As a graduate of the Japanese Tea Master Course in Kyoto, Jan looks forward to sharing her tea knowledge, travel stories and special teas from her collection with you.
